With the hairy crab season fast approaching, sommelier Jeffrey Leung from etc wine shops suggests this year’s perfect wines to complement hairy crab dishes.

It is traditionally believed that hairy crab has a ’cooling’ effect on the body and is usually followed by a cup of ginger tea to warm the body up. Sommelier Jeffrey Leung suggests a selection that go along your favorite steamed hairy crab dish.

Hairy Crab Feast @ Hoi King Heen

From now to 30 Nov, you may enjoy an exquisite hairy crab feast at the Michelin-starred Hoi King Heen at InterContinental, TST.

While many restaurants opt for the "exotic" European hairy crabs this year, the award-winning hotel are offering those are from Taihu Lake, China.

Autumn has officially arrived after the moon cake festival is over. And once again the hairy crab season is upon us.

This autumn, Tsui Hang Village’s Brand Chef Jacky Chan has carefully selected an array of wild Dutch hairy crab from the pure and unpolluted lakes in Holland, unlike other venues that tend to use the shanghaiese ones.

WILD-CAUGHT SEAFOOD MENU @ YAGURA, EATON HOTEL

This fall, Yagura is offering some seafood delights freshly flown in on a daily basis from Tokyo, Kyushu and Fukyoka.

Their wild-caught seafood is freshly frozen and flown in on the same day and their chef will handpicks the finest to display at the seafood counter. Diners can request their own favourite dishes and cooking methods.

FRESH WATER FISH FROM LAKE GARDA @ ASSAGGIO

Seafood lovers, don't miss this chance to sample some of the freshest produces straight from the Italian water.

From 9th September to 31st October, Assaggio will showcase a special menu prepared with river fish from Lake Garda.

MANO TO OPEN IN L PLACE THIS MONTH

Replacing the space formerly resided by Linguini Fini, MANO, a new artisan cafe will soon open this month in L Place, offering all-day casual and social European dining experience with a Mediterranean twist.

The 4000 sq. space has a rustic, vibrant feel, featuring concrete walls blend with white tiles, timbered details and Italian leather seating. Open windows spotlight chefs at work whilst Mano's candlelit dinner service provides a warm and inviting ambience.
