CHOM CHOM (WELLINGTON STREET) (OPEN IN JULY 2013)

The longmissed Vietnamese eatery Chom Chom (Chôm Chôm) is reborn this July (2013) with a new concept by talented chef Peter Cuong Franklin and Black Sheep Restaurants. After the huge success of his private kitchen on Wellington Street, chef Peter now turns his hand to creating a Bia Hoi-inspired experience at his new Soho location.

Featuring a casual, French-inspired minimalist interior, the new Chom Chom on Soho’s Peel Street is a place to gather over beer and the delicious tastes of Vietnamese street food. A casual neighbourhood hangout inspired by Vietnam’s Bai Hoi culture of sipping draft beer on busy street corners, Chom Chom brings a new vibrant Vietnamese experience to Soho.

At the new Chôm Chôm, Chef Peter re-interprets Vietnam’s popular street food culture and takes it to the next level. While rflecting the chef's culinary experiences in the U.S., Europe and Southeast Asia, the dishes will still retain the flavours that he remembers from his childhood.

On the menu, expect dishes such as Grilled Beef in Betel Leaf, Spicy Tuna Rolls, and Vietnamese Shaking Beef, complete with beers on tap including European craft beers.
